The checklist

Container Check

Label Inspection

Bandages

1. 3Check the quantity and expiration dates of adhesive bandages.

Sterile Wipes

1. 4Ensure that antiseptic wipes are available and not expired.

Gauze Pads

1. 5Verify stock and check expiration of sterile gauze pads.

Adhesive Tape

1. 6Confirm that adhesive tape is available and in good condition.

Scissors

1. 7Check that scissors are present and functional.

Tweezers

1. 8Ensure tweezers are included and in good working order.

CPR Mask

1. 9Verify there is a CPR face mask or shield available.

Gloves

1. 10Check supply of non-latex, disposable gloves.

Emergency Blanket

1. 11Ensure an emergency thermal blanket is provided.

Cold Pack

1. 12Check for presence and integrity of an instant cold pack.

Burn Cream

1. 13Verify that burn cream or treatment is available and not expired.

Eye Wash

1. 14Ensure there is an eye wash solution and check expiration date.

First Aid Manual

1. 15Confirm a first aid instruction manual is present.

Pain Relievers

1. 16Check availability and expiration of pain relief medication.

Inventory List

1. 17Update the first aid kit inventory list with current supplies.
