Background & Expertise: Javier earned his B.Eng. in Structural Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2011) and completed an M.Sc. in Earthquake Engineering at UC San Diego (2015). He is a Certified Structural Engineer in Spain and holds PMP certification.
Professional Journey: As Lead Engineer at SeismoSafe Solutions, Javier designed base-isolation systems for hospitals in seismic zones of southern Spain. He also consulted on Mexico City’s hospital-repair program after the 2017 quake.
Research & Recognition: He has eight articles on seismic resilience published in Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics, with his 2016 study on lead-rubber bearings cited over 100 times and read 150 000 times.
