Background & Credentials: Ahmed graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2005 with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering; he earned PMP and LEED Green Associate certifications to advance both his project-management expertise and sustainability focus.

Career Path: He began by inspecting mid-rise residential buildings in Beirut, mastering local codes and client coordination. By 2012 he was leading structural retrofit teams on multi-million-dollar contracts—most notably the CBD tower upgrades in Amman. Today, as Senior Structural Engineer at NileBridge Constructions, he mentors junior staff and oversees seismic-strengthening projects across Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria.

Technical Highlights:

* Seismic retrofit of a 25-story office tower in Amman
* Foundation redesign for Alexandria’s coastal wastewater plant
* In-house analysis scripts that cut design iteration time by 30 percent
Knowledge Sharing: Ahmed has authored eight peer-reviewed papers on performance-based seismic design (100,000+ reads on ResearchGate); his study “Advanced Fiber-Reinforced Polymers for Bridge Rehabilitation” has been cited 85 times.

Outside the Office: A five-time Beirut Marathon finisher, Ahmed also volunteers with Engineers Without Borders Lebanon, teaching earthquake-safe design to high-school students.
